2021年起，北京高考统考英语增加了口语考试。听力加口语考试为英语听说考试，共计50分，英语科目总成绩满分150分。英语听说考试一年两次，与笔试分离，取听说考试最高一次成绩与笔试成绩一同组成英语科目成绩计入高考总分。2022年北京高考英语首次听说机考第一次考试将于2021年12月11日进行，第二次考试将于2022年3月进行。

英语听说考试所占分值比例的增加，提示学生要更加重视此项考试，要意识到英语听说能力发展的重要性。“听得懂”“说得出”是学习语言所要达到的基本要求，众所周知，英语是一门语言，我们学习英语的最终目的并不是为了考试，而是能用英语这个语言工具进行交流。整个社会也逐步对学生的语言应用能力提出了更高的要求，在此趋势下，听说考试应运而生。

Today some classmates and I served at Capital Library as volunteers. At 9 o’clock this morning, we gathered together at the gate of the library.
